Congratulations to the Atlanta Jewish community for breaking the Guinness world record for the latest flag made entirely of cookies!
The giant Israel flag was made of 117,000 cookies and measured 3,224 square feet. The Atlanta community made to show support for Israel on its 70th anniversary.
To make the event even more meaningful, the group asked people to sponsor cookies for $10 each, and donated the money to three Israeli charities – OneFamily, United Hatzalah, and the Jewish Agency’s Partnership2Gether program.
“OneFamily is so proud to be part of this great effort,” said OneFamily CEO Chantal Belzberg. “The campaign not only broke a world record but also honored Israel and raised money for terror victims, emergency medical services, and immigrant communities in the north of Israel, all at the same time.
“This project can be a model of how to get people involved in doing great things that make a real difference while having fun and bring creative. It’s just a great, great project and I’m so glad OneFamily was a part of it,” she added.
