OneFamily’s annual Memorial Day ceremony was filled with moving speeches and heartfelt testimonies. To help you experience the power of the event, we collected the highlights into a short video.

This year’s speakers included:

Iris Yifrach – Mother of Eyal Yifrach, kidnapped and killed in 2014

Noa Buchris – Sister of Hadar Buchris murdered in a stabbing attack in 2015

Tziona Netanel – Widow of Yonatan Netanel, killed in combat in the Gaza Strip in 2009

Mazal Gidoni – Mother of Liel Gidoni, killed in combat in 2014

Odaya Arbel – Daughter of Roi Arbel, killed in a shooting attack in 2004

Doron Mizrachi – Father of Ziv Mizrachi, killed in a stabbing attack in 2015

and brother of Alon Mizrachi, killed in a suicide bombing at Café Hillel in 2003

Amitai Sherki – Brother of Shalom Sherki, murdered in a car-ramming attack in 2015

The ceremony began as a memorial for the children in the OneFamily youth division, but grew in recent years to include the entire family of OneFamily.

Just as Israel moves from the darkness of Memorial Day to the freedom of Independence Day, OneFamily helps families overcome the despair of terror and return to the joy of independence.
