Yuval Dagan, a 22 year old resident of Kfar Saba, died serving in the Golani Brigade on Monday, July 21st.
Sergeant Dagan was murdered in a firefight in Gaza. He was promoted to the rank of First Sergeant after his death.
Yossi Dagan, Yuval’s uncle, eulogized, “since he was a boy, Yuval dreamed of enlisting. He insisted on continuing in his unit despite being wounded during training. He was supposed to be released soon.”
Dovid, Dagan’s brother added, “Our whole family served in Golani. Our father and my brother were both Golani fighters. Yuval loved to help others and the community, and he did a year of service at-risk youth in the village during which contributed greatly to the south. Digest all, yet he was killed.”
His cousin, May said, “Yuvi, dear cousin, you just went out to protect our name in Gaza and now you will never come back. I will always miss you.”
Yuval Dagan is survived by his parents, and his brother, Dovid.
Staff Sergeant Dagan was buried in Kfar Saba.
