OneFamily Executive Vice Chairman Chantal Belzbeg and Co-Founder of Families of 9/11 Carie Lemack
OneFamily Executive Vice Chairman Chantal Belzberg recently met with the Co-Founder and President of Families of September 11, Carie Lemack, to discuss how we might work together to improve the lives of the terror victims we both serve. Families of September 11 is a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness about the effects of terrorism and public trauma and to champion domestic and international policies that prevent, protect against, and respond to terrorist acts.
Mrs. Lemack helped found the organization after her mother, Judy Larocque, was murdered on 9/11. Families of September 11 has advocated on behalf of more than 2,500 American families who lost loved ones in the 9/11 attacks, working for more effective and efficient distribution of aid to families, improved aviation and transportation security, and helping families navigate complicated government bureacracies.
Mrs. Lemack contacted us to learn more about the “fantastic work [we] are doing” – particularly the long term therapeutic support programs we provide Israel’s victims of terror.
Terrorism has claimed the lives of thousands in both Israel and the United States. OneFamily is proud to stand with Families of September 11 in support of victims in both of our countries. Together we can rebuild their shattered lives.
