Andi Spring and her little brother Oliver deliver postcards to OneFamily staff member Andrew McKain

At the Toronto Heschel School this year twelve-year-old Andi Spring organized a fundraising project for OneFamily’s Canadian office. Along with her friends Rebecca and Jonah Himelfarb, Andi sold OneFamily bracelets to fellow students during her lunch period everyday, raising nearly $1,000 for terror victims in Israel.

After a OneFamily delegation led by Sarri Singer visited Andi’s school, she felt compelled to join OneFamily and do whatever she could for victims of terror. Not only did she raise money, she also organized a postcard campaign. Hundreds of students in her school wrote postcards to Israeli terror victims.

“It was fun, a good experience, and a Mitzvah,” said Andi.

Andi and her family visited OneFamily’s Jerusalem office on August 29, 2005 to deliver the postcards personally. The Spring family – Shane, Nancy, Andi, and Oliver – was in Israel to celebrate Andi’s Bat Mitzvah at Masada, and tour the country.
